VITAC was proud to support the Hearing Loss of America Association’s (HLAA) Walk4Hearing as a local gold-level sponsor.

The 5K (3.1 mile) walk was held on Sunday, June 9, at the beautiful Clement Park in Littleton, CO.

It was a cold, dreary day, but the high energy and warm smiles were enough to keep everyone happy. Team VITAC came ready to show everyone what we’re made of — walking, talking, and simply engaging with the other walkers.

In fact, more than 30 VITAC staff members, family, and friends actively participated and raised nearly $1,500 to help support the hearing-loss community!

It was a fun event, and we all were honored to have this opportunity to be among fellow advocates, joined together to promote a wonderful cause. We’re looking forward to next year!

The HLAA Walk4Hearing is a nationwide program that reaches out to the estimated 50 million people in the hearing-loss community, and others such as family members, friends, and hearing health professionals.

The goal for this program is to raise awareness about hearing loss, maintaining good hearing health, and accessible communication. HLAA Walk4Hearing outreach started in 2006 and, since then, almost 100,000 walkers and 8,300 teams have come together to share and support the hearing-loss community.

Since 1986, VITAC has been the leader in accessibility and captioning services. We are the largest provider of accessible media services in the United States, and feature the most professional, highly skilled employees and 24/7 customer support. VITAC offers a wide variety of accessibility services for domestic and international companies, including live and prerecorded captioning and transcription, live and prerecorded Spanish captioning and multi-language captioning as well as subtitling, audio description, and encoding.
