Continuing a holiday tradition that’s been going strong for more than a quarter century, VITAC this week delivered holiday gifts and well-wishes to clients at the Center for Hearing & Deaf Services (HDS).

HDS is VITAC’s chosen holiday charity, and 2022 marks the 27th consecutive year that VITAC has shared the holidays with the center’s clients.

This year’s holiday gift program kicked off late last month when we received a list of client names and gift suggestions from HDS. VITAC employees quickly selected a name and added them to their shopping lists. This year’s gifts included clothes, jewelry, gift cards, books, and craft items. VITAC also gives an annual holiday donation to the center.

“It’s one of our favorite times of the year here at VITAC,” said Dave Titmus, public relations and communications manager. “I can’t thank enough everyone who generously purchased a gift and once again made the program a success.”

The Center for Hearing & Deaf Services is southwestern Pennsylvania’s only comprehensive service center, providing a wide variety of quality diagnostic, rehabilitative, and supportive services to meet the unique challenges of children and adults who are deaf, deaf-blind, and hard of hearing. The center also strives to increase independence and enhance the quality of life for those individuals.
