The media and technology industry is constantly evolving and innovating, and succeeding in MediaTech means being able to navigate those changes and being prepared to respond quickly to challenges. Resilience is key as businesses, tech suppliers, and media companies seek new ways to remain relevant and competitive.

Louise Tapia, VITAC’s Vice President of Sales, will be among the panelists discussing this and other topics at next month’s IABM (International Trade Association for the Broadcast & Media Industry) conference in London.

Staying Relevant in a Changing Business Landscape

IABM’s “BaM Live London 2023” is an international business conference focused on the purchase and sale of media technology. The one-day event will feature expert speakers from across the industry as well as breakout sessions and networking opportunities.

Louise’s panel – “How do New MediaTech Trends Become Another Tool in the Box?” – will discuss the best approaches for media and technology vendors and buyers in adopting innovation.

Topics will include, among others:

  • Cloud storage, integrations, sustainability, and costs and whether it still makes sense for media companies to run their own data centers.
  • Generative AI and how artificial intelligence is transforming the media and technology industry.
  • Buy or Build? As new technologies appear, companies are wrestling with whether it’s easier, faster, or better to build their own solutions or wait for providers to come up with an offering.

In addition to Louise, the panel will include Ian Fletcher, CTO, Grass Valley; Jan-Hendrick Hein, VP Media Operations, A+E Networks Europe; Patrick Jeant, Director, Founder & CEO, Yewth Studios; and Kevin Savina, Principal Partner Lead, Media & Entertainment, Amazon Web Services (AWS). The panel will be moderated by Bea Alonso, independent MediaTech product marketer and content writer.
