VITAC’s exclusive Event Center and Stadium Captioning Solutions service helps make games, events, and concerts inclusive to all while also meeting accessibility requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Fan reading captions from his phone at a sporting eventOur Event Center and Stadium Captioning service enables skilled, remote captioners to listen to live audio feeds from arenas, stadiums, or event centers, and translate that audio into realtime text that can then be displayed on the venue’s scoreboard, ribbon board, or in-stadium closed-circuit television system.

Our event center offerings also allow captioners to stream captions to a dedicated URL, enabling fans to access captions directly on their mobile phones or tablets.

A number of professional sports teams currently use VITAC to bring the action to all of their fans with captions to their scoreboards and ribbons; event centers use us to bring captions to mobile devices via a URL; and universities are bringing VITAC captions to their commencement ceremonies to ensure accessibility for all participants and attendees.

VITAC also recently teamed up with Major League Soccer’s New York Red Bulls to bring inclusive, accessible soccer action to all fans.

Graphic showing sets of game ticketsThe New York Red Bulls began incorporating captions on the scoreboard of Red Bull Arena to enhance the stadium experience for deaf or hard-of-hearing fans as well as those who simply prefer captioned content. The captions displayed all of the public address announcements, such as player, scoring and penalty information, in-stadium promotions and advertising, and end-of-game announcements, among others.

Not only does captioning make events like this accessible and enjoyable for all, it also helps meet ADA and rehabilitation act requirements.
