For more than three decades, students at the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf (WPSD) have shared their artistic talents to help us create our annual holiday card for clients, colleagues, and associates.
And we have to say, this year’s selection of student artwork is pretty sweet.
Each year for the past 33 years, students from the school create artwork around a holiday theme. This year, the artwork was centered around the theme of ‘gingerbread men (women and children).’
We shared the idea with WPSD and students sent back their creative and colorfully designed pieces in a (ginger)snap.
As always, the festive submissions were fantastic. This year’s artists drew gingerbread men decked out in holiday hats, enjoying hot cocoa, decorating their gingerbread houses, and simply enjoying life in their frosty and frosted surroundings.
We didn’t think it was fair to keep them all to ourselves – we want to stay on the ‘nice list,’ after all – so we wanted to offer a peek below at all the tasty pieces that the students created!
We shared all the artwork with VITAC and Verbit staff and asked everyone to vote for their favorite design. The art with the most votes will be announced this Friday at a special presentation at the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf and will grace the cover of our 2023 holiday card.
