VITAC, the country’s largest provider of media and entertainment captioning in the industry, has exclusive captioning contracts for prerecorded programming on more than 25 television networks and is recognized as a preferred vendor for others, including, most recently, HBO Max.
HBO Max, launched in May, is the premium network’s streaming service featuring all of HBO’s programming plus an impressive library of additional shows, movies, and originals, including the much-anticipated “Friends” reunion special and an alternate cut of the 2017 movie “Justice League.”
HBO Max is available on a variety of devices, including phones, tablets, the web, connected TVs and game consoles. As of June, it had more than 4 million subscribers.
HBO Max requires captions and audio description for its shows, and its simple menus make it easy to turn on accessibility at any time.
We’re thrilled to be a preferred closed captioning vendor for the streaming service.
Our offline captions are created using our specially developed and continually updated captioning software, and meet Federal Communications Commission (FCC) guidelines.
